United Jesus Week reflection (13-15 Sep, 2011)

I really want to praise God for what he is doing on Monash Clayton campus.

United Jesus week is a 3days united outreach effort which involves live worship on campus, as well as a gospel talk on the last day. It is hosted by Monash Chinese Christian Fellowship (MCCF), co-hosted by Campus Christian Movement (CCM), Overseas Christian Fellowship (OCF), Revival Network, MAP, and GAS production. United Jesus week is very encouraging for several reasons.

Firstly, it fulfills the vision that God has shown me 3 years ago about different Christian clubs being united together in outreach. Apparently, I am not the only one who receives the same vision, for my friend Carmen from MCCF also receives similar vision from God 2 years ago. I would have never imagined that this is possible 3 years ago when I hardly knew anyone from other Christian fellowships. Currently we are planning to organize united Jesus week next year the week before Easter, at a larger scale which involves every Christian clubs on Clayton campus. Please keep us in prayer.

Secondly, God always provides. A few weeks ago, we only have about $100 and we need at least $500 to organize this 3-days event. We prayed and we did fund raising in different fellowships and churches. In the end, God provides us with more than $1000. His provision is simply amazing. Thank God for your faithfulness.

Thirdly, God gives me a chance to proclaim his love and share my testimony with many people. Normally I won't have the courage to stand on the stage, to sing and share the gospel
in front of everyone. However, I hold on to the promise in Philippians 4:13, which said 'I can do all this through him who gives me strength'. God enabled me to speak his message with boldness. I thank God for the dozens of people that I came across in that 3 days and the tremendous opportunity for me to share what God has done in my life. As I shared, many seeds are sowed and I believe one day people's soul will be saved.

United Jesus week is an incredible faith journey with God and it builds up my faith considerably. It is indeed an adventure to walk with God as we step out in faith.

Finally, we are in a spiritual warfare with things that we cannot see. As we worship God publicly and pray fervently, we win the battle and claim that every university campus belongs to God.
