SHARING WITH WORDS (PART 1)
Paul’s ultimate motive in preaching the gospel is to glorify Jesus and to serve God (Read Romans 15:17).
He proclaimed boldly the gospel to both Jews and gentiles. God’s truth must be spoken out and not kept silent. He shared that God had used him to lead Gentiles to Christ.
‘Therefore I glory in Christ Jesus in my service to God. I will not venture to speak of anything except what Christ has accomplished through me, in leading the Gentiles to obey God by what I have said and done.’ Romans 15:17-18.
Key Principle: Seek to verbally share the gospel with others.
SHARING WITH SIGNS AND MIRACLES (PART 2)
Paul did not just use words to proclaim the gospel but with the demonstration of the power of God. He performed signs and miracles in Jesus’ name.
Many people were healed from sickness, delivered from evil spirits (Acts 19:11-12) and one person got raised from the dead (Acts 20:9-12). Let’s not just share the gospel with words only, but also with the power of the Holy Spirit.
‘by the power of signs and miracles, through the power of the Spirit. So from Jerusalem all the way around to Illyricum, I have fully proclaimed the gospel of Christ.’ Romans 15:19
Key Principle: Seek to share the gospel with deeds and power.
SHARING WITH ALL PEOPLE GROUPS (PART 3)
Paul relentlessly pursued his goal to preach the gospel to all people groups of his time. He did not want anyone to miss out on the grace and forgiveness of God through Jesus Christ. Let’s make it our personal ambition to ensure that people from all countries can hear the gospel.
‘It has always been my ambition to preach the gospel where Christ was not known, so that I would not be building on someone else’s foundation. Rather, as it is written: “Those who were not told about him will see, and those who have not heard will understand.”’ Romans 15:20-21
Key Principle: Seek to share the gospel to all ethnic groups
