SEIZING THE DAY
Our time on earth is limited. The bible describes the human life span as like a breath compared to eternity. Let’s seize the day to share God’s love, then we can be sure that the gospel will reach the ends of the earth.
‘Show me, O LORD, my life’s end and the number of my days; let me know how fleeting is my life. You have made my days a mere handbreadth; the span of my years is as nothing before you. Each man’s life is but a breath.’ Psalms 39:5-6.
Key Principle: Be a good steward of time to extend God’s kingdom.
POPULATING HEAVEN PLUNDERING HELL (PART 2)
Each year 48 million people die. Where will these people go? The bible talks about heaven and hell (2 Peter 3:13, Mark 9:43).
3But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, the home of righteousness. 2 Peter 3:13
Heaven is a place for believers who have repented of their sins. Hell is a place of punishment for those have not chosen to accept Christ as their personal Lord and Savour. Let’s bring many people as possible to be with God in heaven lest they go to hell (Jude 1:23).
23snatch others from the fire and save them; to others show mercy, mixed with fear—hating even the clothing stained by corrupted flesh. Jude 1:23
‘Now we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands.’ 2 Corinthians 5:1.
Key Principle: Human beings were created to spend eternity with God.
BRINGING A SLICE OF HEAVEN ON EARTH (PART 3)
Many people are crying out for help and are struggling with sins but have nowhere to turn. They need to know how God can be a source of strength and deliverance. Galatians 5:22-23 lists a wide range of qualities that God can produce in believers.
But when the Holy Spirit controls our lives, he will produce this kind of fruit in us: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Here there is no conflict with the law. Galatians 5:22-23 (New Living Translation)
Key Principle: Today the church can transform the community in a biblical way.
