LET'S ALL DECLARE

CHRIST DECLARED THE GOSPEL (PART 1)

Jesus came preaching the gospel wherever He went. He didn’t want anyone to miss out on this long awaited Good News’. Christ came as the sacrificial lamb to die for the sins of the whole world.

  • Jesus preached in the larger towns (Luke 4:43),
But he said, “I must preach the good news of the kingdom of God to the other towns also, because that is why I was sent.” (Luke 4:43)
  • Villages (Mark 1:38) and
38Jesus replied, "Let us go somewhere else—to the nearby villages—so I can preach there also. That is why I have come."
  • Someone’s home (Mark 2:2).
2So many gathered that there was no room left, not even outside the door, and he preached the word to them.

Key Principle: Jesus set the example of preaching the gospel everywhere.

THE EARLY CHURCH DECLARED THE GOSPEL (PART 2)

The early church obeyed the command of Jesus to spread the gospel everywhere.

‘Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and
confirmed his word by the signs that accompanied it.’ (Mark 16:20).
  • First, they preached to the Jews (Act 13:5),
5When they arrived at Salamis, they proclaimed the word of God in the Jewish synagogues. John was with them as their helper.
  • then to the Gentiles (Acts 8:4, 11:1) and
4Those who had been scattered preached the word wherever they went. Acts 8:4

1The apostles and the brothers throughout Judea heard that the Gentiles also had received the word of God. Acts 11:1
  • Distant places (Acts 15:35, 17:13).
35But Paul and Barnabas remained in Antioch, where they and many others taught and preached the word of the Lord. Acts 15:35

13When the Jews in Thessalonica learned that Paul was preaching the word of God at Berea, they went there too, agitating the crowds and stirring them up. Acts 17:13

  • They inspired each other to preach courageously, despite persecution and imprisonment (Philippians 1:14).
14Because of my chains, most of the brothers in the Lord have been encouraged to speak the word of God more courageously and fearlessly.

Key Principle: The Early Church spread Christianity everywhere.

TODAY CHRISTIANS ARE SPREADING THE GOSPEL (PART 3)

God has called every Christian to declare His salvation.
  • The gospel must be preached so others may hear and believe (Romans 10:14).

How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? (Romans 10:14).

  • Christians are exhorted to share the gospel on a consistent basis (2 Timothy 4:2).
2Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction.

Key Principle: Christians are called to preach the gospel so people may hear and believe in Christ.
